New song

I have been silent here over the past few weeks, not the least because of the grave situation affecting us all. My thoughts are with those who are suffering right now, in Iceland and all over the world. Together we will face this invisible enemy and defeat him.

I want to thank all those who came to my 24 pictures concert in the National Gallery of art - it was an unforgettable experience. There will be more concerts, perhaps through live streaming.

Also, I want to mention that I participated in the premiere of the wonderful musical 9 lives, about the life of Icelandic music legend Bubbi Morthens. We had to take a break after 3 shows, due to the coronavirus situation, but I really look forward to returning when conditions change.

However, I am glad to announce the 3. instalment of 24 pictures, titled “Grow”. It’s sound world is larger than in the others released so far. I think it contains some positivity that is much needed at this point in time. More to come…

All the best, and stay safe

Good news!

Good news!

Last year, I started a project that revolves around the idea of performing 24 pieces, in every key, that are improvised on the spot.

It quickly grew to include a song cycle, recorded in the studio, that I plan to release throughout the whole year, generally with around two weeks in between releases.

The first song, Cascade, is now on Spotify and is due to arrive at other platforms, such as itunes, and Amazon. The next songs, Aries and Grow will arrive in the coming weeks.

24 Myndir
